Guns, Drugs, Mental Illness, Demons & ‘Planned’ U.S. Murders, Part 2

Apparently, in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre, politicians consider laws for semi-automatic gun control, size of gun clips, ‘universal’ background checks, gun trafficking, violent video games, etc.  But there is rare public mention about the effect of violence-inducing drugs.

And why are doctors and pharmaceutical companies not included in these legal steps?  It is known that many mass murderers in this country in the last few decades were taking very dangerous drugs.  Yet police or politicians do not release information on drugs found, or actions taken with doctors and drug companies. co-editor A. Jurek in ‘Asking Tough Questions About the Aurora Theater 9 Shooting: Were Antidepressants to Blame?’ cites journalist Allison Bass, author of ‘Side Effects,’ whose reporting at the Boston Globe was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

Bass emphasizes: “In the 25 years since Prozac and the other SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) antidepressants have been on the market, there has been a long litany of cases . . . where someone with no history of violence . . . after taking these drugs, either killing themselves or their loved ones.”

Jurek writes:  “Nearly all of the recent shooters, from Columbine to Virginia Tech to the Rep. Gifford case (as well as many other, less publicized instances) had been receiving some sort of mental health treatment when they unleashed violence on their friends, colleagues, or loved ones.

“It is not in fact the case, as some mental health pundits suggest, that many of these shooters were not getting help. Quite the opposite – many shooters were often on medications, drugs that could have caused their violent behavior.”
Barbara Shoff points out in ‘Adam Lanza Shooting:  This Mass Murderer Might Have Been Motivated by Drugs, Not by Guns:’  “Some researchers have looked beyond the use of guns in these tragedies to see if anything else could be a precipitating factor and the researchers have discovered a definite link in almost every case; the use of pharmaceutical drugs prescribed by the assailant’s doctor.”

In ‘Study Reveals Top Ten Violence-Inducing Prescription Drugs,’ Natural News joins the journal PLoS in listing dangerous drugs that easily incite violence, including: Desvenlafaxine (Pristiq), Venlafaxine (Effexor), Fluvoxamine (Luvox), Triazolam (Halcion), Atomoxetine (Strattera), Mefoquine (Lariam), Amphetamines, Paroxetine (Paxil), Fluoxetine (Prozac), and Varenicline (Chantix).

The government knows about these drugs:  The Institute for Safe Medication Practices report says the “U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s ‘Adverse Event Reporting System,’ [says] many popular drugs are linked even to homicides.”

If officials are to understand our nation’s high murder rate nothing should be over-looked.  Bible inspired writing warns:  “Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow (Zephaniah 3: 3),” i.e. don’t stop digging until everything is known and dealt with!
