Can ‘Mad Science:’ Turn Machine Into Man? Part 2

robots01        Let those who follow what is dubbed science fiction understand that in today’s world, much more ‘science’ is involved and much less ‘fiction.’  In other words, the work of ‘Mad Science’ is poised to take over the earth with robots that can feel, think, form attachments with people, and have specific ‘beliefs.’

Tim Lohman writes in ZDNet that AI scientists now work on systems designed to give robots “their own sets of beliefs and life goals,” enabling them to make “intelligent and rational decisions . . . without human intervention.

Dr John Thangarajah told ZDNet:  “Intelligent agent technology is a particular way of developing software . . . in a variety of application[s], . . . designed and structured in terms of ‘mental attitudes’—variables such as beliefs, goals, intentions, and commitments—rather than “object-oriented” methods.”

Three years ago, wrote in ‘Robots That Develop Emotions in Interaction with Humans’ that Dr. Lola Canamero from the University of Hertfordshire, working with universities and robotic companies across Europe, had created robots capable of forming attachments and expression emotion:

“The robots have been created through modeling the early attachment process that human and chimpanzee infants undergo with their caregivers when they develop a preference for a primary caregiver.  As if a child chooses its parent!

“The robots are capable of expressing anger, fear, sadness, happiness, excitement and pride and will demonstrate ROBOTICAvery visible distress if the caregiver fails to provide them comfort when confronted by a stressful situation that they cannot cope with or to interact with them when they need it.”

However, as hard as ‘mad men’ work to evolve this ‘new science,’ they have assigned to themselves an impossible task.  Machines do not and cannot have ‘souls.’  Only God can create man’s spirit and soul to function intricately with the body: “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Genesis 2: 7).”

The soul contains man’s mind, will and emotions.  Moreover, every human being fashioned through ‘normal’ reproductive methods also has a spirit, which when awakened contains spiritual capacities far beyond emotional spheres.

As much as it’s adherents may desire it, ‘science,’ has no capacity to form a human being into a living soul.  Moreover, such ‘scientists’ cannot make robots capable of reproducing themselves through male-female exchanges. They contain neither sperm nor mothering womb.  Attempts to make robots human with a few programmed emotions fall far short of man’s capacity to love, hate and forgive.

By the way, those relishing to make robots behave as chimpanzees cannot even re-create those animals.  The Infinite God’s reproductive miracles are far beyond human reach.  Most particularly, ‘mad scientists’ cannot imbue God-like capacities to love, for as Bible historical books insist, “God is Love (1 John 4:8),” and man’s task is to love as God loves.  That is His call and it is not science!
