Fading Memories of World War II: Anti-semitism Rising In Europe

Boycott-Isreal       Failing immigration policy, continuing high-unemployment economy, hard-right politics, newer generation of Muslim citizens, resentment against dogmatic European Union bureaucracy, lost memories of World War II horrors, and the latest Israel-Hamas war in the Middle East––apparently all contribute to a ‘new’ mood in Europe which is to “Blame it on the Jews”!

Undoubtedly, among many Europeans anger towards Israel’s ‘Zionism’ and all Jews in general has merged, and social media has fueled flames of such hatred from Europe to the Middle East and back.

Stanford professor, Russell Berman explains:  “In recent weeks, slogans invoking anti-Semitism have been heard during European protests against the Palestinian deaths in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In France and Germany, synagogues and Jewish community centers have been firebombed. In Britain, a rabbi was attacked near a Jewish boarding school.”

Yonathan Arfi, vice president of the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF), believes: “. . . in France antisemitism had become a portmanteau for a lot of angry people: radical Muslims, alienated youths from immigrant families, the far right, the far left . . . “a process of normalization, whereby antisemitism is being made somehow acceptable.”

John Henly in ‘Antisemitism on Rise Across Europe ‘In Worst Times Since the Nazis’ explains further: “A similar normalization may be under way in Germany, according to a 2013 study by the Technical University of Berlin.

“In 14,000 hate-mail letters, emails and faxes sent over 10 years to the Israeli embassy in Berlin and the Central Council of Jews in Germany, Professor Monika Schwarz-Friesel found that 60% were written by educated, middle-class Germans, including professors, lawyers, priests and university and secondary school students. Most, too, were unafraid to give their names and addresses – something she felt few Germans would have done 20 or 30 years ago.”

As Soeren Kern writes in ‘Spanish Anti-Semitism is Alive and Well’: “There has been virtually no public outcry Spanish-Anti-Semitismwhatsoever in Spain over the deaths of more than 160,000 people during three years of fighting in Syria; the decimation of ancient Christian communities at the hands of Islamists in Iraq; the kidnapping of 300 girls by Islamists in Nigeria; or the downing of a civilian passenger plane in Ukraine.” Yet hatred of Israel in the streets of Spain catches all aflame.

Kern quotes Spanish analyst Angel Mas:  “It is possible legitimately to criticize Israel. But it smells fishy when all of the blame is attributed to Israel, without even mentioning the small detail that a terrorist and jihadist group that rules Gaza has infringed on every conceivable humanitarian principle, by using civilians as human shields, and launching missiles from apartment blocks, while their leaders are living comfortable in Qatar, guests of a sheik.”

Such logic escapes those driven by those demons hell-bent to drive mankind into World War III so they can ferment the last and greatest holocaust Jews have ever experienced.  As Bible historical books explain:

“And The LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even The LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? (Zechariah 3: 2);” “And I heard the number of them which were sealed: . . . . Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand [etc.]. . .  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they came? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7: 4 – 12).”
