Title: Culture Replacing Christianity in Many Churches

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 7:00 AM
November 17, 2016

joseph-matteraI have always admired the ministry of Joseph Mattera, Overseeing Bishop of Resurrection Church and Christ Covenant Coalition. Last year in a post on charismanews.com, titled “5 Signs There’s Idolatry in Your Church,” he wrote: “There are many believers who have allowed their ethnicity and culture to trump the Word of God. Jesus said culture is even stronger than the Word of God in some people’s lives (Mark 7:7-8).”

That Scripture he references reads: “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.” The LORD Jesus warns that this is one of the most dangerous trends threatening churches today and yesterday.

The Savior continues:  “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.  For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:“But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye (Mark 7: 9 – 13).”

Thus, The LORD Jesus insists that to substitute one’s race, color, tribe or ethnic background in place of absolute faith in Him and His Word is just as much idolatry as if one bowed down and worshiped material images or idols. Brother Mattera continues:  “God is not color blind, since He made humans black, brown, yellow, red and white in His own image. Hence, He designed us to have distinctions in culture regarding food, dress, language and other things based upon ethnic nuances.

“However, these distinctions are not where believers should derive their primary identity or anchor their biblical ethics, for in Christ there is neither male nor female, black, white or brown, for we are all one in Christ (Gal. 3:28).  That verse in King James says:  “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” And verse 29 adds:  “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Thus, today, many who claim to be believing God for prosperity, have God’s promises blocked because they want to be a child of fleshly heritage, more than they want to be a child of Abraham.

Bishop Mattera adds:  “When our ethnic thinking trumps our biblical thinking, we are guilty either of ignorance or ethnic idolatry. Unless or until the body of Christ gets over its idolatry according to ethnicity, we will never become the generation that can disciple the nations (or in other words, ethnic people groups as shown in Matthew 28:19). Since there is no neutrality, either the church will disciple the nations or the nations will disciple the church!”

In that verse from wholesale Christian Bibles, the Bishop cites, The LORD Jesus says:  “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” Again, The LORD Jesus adds even more:  “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world (Matthew 28: 20).” Both The Savior, his servant and His Holy Word insist that believers must follow Him, not the mistakes of their parents or the traditions of others.

Apostle John adds that the ultimate test of all Christianity is to follow true prophets: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but 1john5v1try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world (1 John 4: 1).” The false spirit, prophet or preacher who tells you to go to his church because your parents went there, or because you are all of the same race of ethnicity, may well be a false prophet who follows a spirit that is not The Holy Spirit.  John insists that true Christians must walk always in love towards everyone:  “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him (1 John 5: 1).”

How is this tied to prosperity you ask? Well it may be why some prayers about prosperity are not answered: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him (1 John 5: 14 – 15).” That promise is for those who love Him and who OBEY His commandments to love—i.e. according to His will)–regardless of race, ethnicity or familial tradition!

The Crucible Was A Great Read For My Brother

posted by WiseBooks @ 15:52 PM
August 10, 2016

The CrucibleI heard about The Crucible and had been looking forward to reading it for a long time. My brother read it not that long ago and he thought that is was a very interesting read. He enjoyed all of the wisdom that he got out of it and the themes that were in the book as well. The book is about what it truly means to be Christian and to be a believer.

Reading this book was life-changing for my brother. He really enjoyed it and it was great for him. He has been really into reading Christian books lately and he has gotten me into them as well. These books always offer lots of wisdom for all of life’s tough situations. I think that this book would have a lot to offer me as well.

I am excited to read The Crucible and to get as much out of it as my brother did. A lot of people consider themselves to be Christians but they really are not. They go on living their lives as if they didn’t believe. This book talks about that and touches on that subject a lot, which is why I am very excited to read it and get a lot out of it.

More on The Lord Jesus’ Ultimate and Eternal Sacrifice

posted by admin @ 14:15 PM
June 22, 2016

Understand this: without the Blood that The LORD Jesus Christ shed on the Cross, Christians would have no path to forgiveness. And without God’s forgiveness, there is no way to eternal life.  Look at these verses in wholesale Christian Bibles:

last-supper-2     “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26: 26 – 28).”

Also: “For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands,which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

“For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation (Hebrews 9: 19-28).”

In-depth teaching on the shed Blood of Jesus is vital in the United States and around the world, because several cults in the U.S. which claim to be Christian deny the power of the Holy Blood of Christ.

For instance in her religious instructional book, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” Mary Baker Eddy, founder of Christian Science, writes that the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross has no Science-Health-Key-To-The-Scripturesmore power than it did in His veins before He died.  Such a horrendous statement is unbelievable!

I have not read what the Mormon Church says about the precious blood of Christ, but as it has many other steps necessary before their concept of heaven can be reached, it obviously does not value the shed Blood of Jesus.

And undoubtedly as Jehovah Witnesses insist that The Lord Jesus was/is not God, but simply “a god,” they obviously cannot consider His Blood on the Cross as absolutely necessary to insure man’s forgiveness from God.

While claiming to be Christian, such cults put the burden upon men and women to do laborious work in order to obtain God’s forgiveness.

In contrast, The LORD Jesus teaches that unless true believers eat, ingest, revere His Blood and His flesh they cannot internalize His life of salvation:

“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

“For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever (John 6: 53 – 58).”

Further, Hebrews 13: 12 insists that The LORD’s Blood alone makes believers holy—there is no work we can do for Him to obtain holiness before Him and His Father. Our work is just to believe in Him and in His Word.

In fact, Colossians 1: 20 collapses everything in earth and in heaven as only reconciled by and through The Holy Blood of Jesus:

“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”

So be sure to prayerfully take communion often—either with others or by yourself—and thank Your Heavenly Father that, with His Blood, Jesus paid for your success on earth and your pathway to heaven for all eternity!

A Knife In A Gun Fight? Is West Ready for Russia’s Thuggery?

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 21:04 PM
December 3, 2014

Pro-Russian-activists       While the United States, some Western nations, and perhaps China, depend on far more advanced weaponry in the 21st century––i.e. drones, satellites, stealth air strikes, etc.–– Russia moved into Ukraine using thugs in masks with guns and tanks. How old World War II! So who bears the knife in this gun fight?

If the battle is an economic one, according to Ida Wells blogging for earthend-newbeginning.com, Russia is loosing. In ‘Is Russia Signaling Defeat in It’s Economic War with U.S.?’ she writes:  “Various theories as to what caused gasoline prices to lower across the globe flood the internet. But it could well be that U.S. leaders are ‘crazy like a fox’ in orchestrating oil price declines because it brings Russia to its economic knees.”

Since Putin invaded Crimea and then Ukraine, the U.S. has depended on ‘economic logic’ to stop him––but the Russian President doesn’t seem to listen. Today, East Ukraine thugs apparently subsidized by Russian troops, still harass Ukrainians, and rumors persist that Russian troops line Ukraine’s borders.

But while Putin threatens hot––or even cold––war, the U.S. continues its economic war against Russia. “All 17 companies [imposed with U.S. sanctions] are owned or controlled by Putin allies.  At least eight of the companies have ties to Gennady Timchenko, a Russian billionaire living in Switzerland with ties to Putin,” a White House press secretary said recently.

The Department of Commerce imposed restrictions on Russian companies to prevent their export of U.S. manufacturing, while the State Department denies the export of licenses for high-technology items contribute for Russia’s military.

Other members of the G-7, as well as European businesses, have been adding additional sanctions for months. As a result, Wells blogs Russia has slid into recession, and in fact that Russia is broke. But does this mean that the U.S. has won the economic war?

The U.S. and Western Europe moans to Putin: “We are at peace, We are prosperous (compared to you). No one wants or has time for war?” “We don’t fight wars like this any more,” the U.S. cries. “You don’t but I do,” Putin responds.

“Because even in the 21st century, thug war still works. While you tried to entice me with ‘partnerships,’ I planned Knife-gun-fightthis against you while smiling in your face all the time.” So who has the knife and who has the gun in this fight?

But this pseudo-war isn’t over yet. Putin may be winning the battle in Ukraine, but he may be losing it at home. In ‘Russian Markets Take Fright on Putin Threat to Ukraine,’ (like Wells) Lidia Kelly and Oksana Kobzeva of Reuters write:

“Russian stocks and bonds plummet . . .  the central bank hikes interest rates, burning its way through as much as $12 billion of its reserves to prop up the ruble. Investors ditch all Russian assets alike.” Putin lost money on the Olympics too?  Does Putin’s Russia really have that much money to lose?

The LORD Jesus Christ, known to be the wisest man alive, raises an interesting question in Luke 14: 31-32 of Bible inspired writing:  “Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.”

To paraphrase it in modern parlance for the particular type of wars the U.S. and other Western nations against Russia may wage, when picking a fight with an unknowable enemy, one should ascertain who has the knife and who has the gun, and which weapon is correct for winning all resulting wars? Obviously, these battles are not over. But is it really so obvious as to who will win them all?

Between A ‘Two-Faced Rock’ and A Place of War: Turkey’s Deceptions

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 10:30 AM
September 24, 2014

passing thru walls    Various bloggers and commentators warn that World War III has already begun. A perfect example of this truth is the adroitness of Turkey as it seeks to please ISIS, and yet remain a stanch member of NATO and an ally of the U.S.

In his article, ‘Turkey: What Ally?,’ Burak Bekdil’s details Turkey’s attempts to be the only Muslim nation in NATO, while simultaneously forming close relationships with China, Russia and “a bunch of terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, Ahrar al-Sham and the al-Nusrah Front.”

Regarding U.S. led attacks on ISIS bases in Syria this week, Bekdil points out that Turkey refused to allow its ‘allies’ to use Turkish air space or to use a crucial U.S. air base in southern Turkey for attack flights. Turkish leaders even refused to join other Arab nations for a joint communique against ISIS.

One of Turkey’s goals is for Syria to fall completely. Merve Tahiroglu expounds in ‘ISIS and the Threat to Turkey’:  “Turkey’s open-door policy since the beginning of the Syrian crisis has allowed many Syrians jihadists to freely enter its territory, and Ankara [Turkey’s capital] has been accused of turning a blind eye, if not direct support, to foreign jihadists in its territory.”

Even those in political parties opposite of Turkish President Erdogan, openly accuse him of supporting ISIS. Kemal Kilicdaroglu, his main opponent says : “ . . . for the first time in history Turkey has become a country that supports terrorism.”

Another of Erdogan’s opponents, Devlet Bahceli, decries Erdogan’s fake remorse towards Syria only because refugees-leavingthousands of refuges from Syria have crossed over into Turkey: “. . . our borders are filled with radical and savage elements.”
Their protests seemed borne out when 49 hostages taken from the Turkish embassy in Mosul were released.  While ISIS lopes heads, crucifies and guns down other hostages, Turkey’s citizens were freed without even a hair touched. Diplomats and journalists wonder why? Erdogan insists ransom was not paid.  But his critics decry the secrecy about their release, insisting that by ‘negotiating’ for the captives’ release, Erdogan accorded ISIS with the mantle of a nation-state.

Thomas Seibert in ‘The Turks to ISIS: “Let’s Make a Deal”’ writes: “Ankara is dealing “diplomatically” with the so-called Islamic State . . even as Washington tries to ‘ . . . destroy it.’ Recognition of ISIS as a ‘state’ at any level or in any form is precisely what [ISIS] is looking for and [the] U.S. vehemently opposes.”

All of which reinforces Biblical truths about Turkey, which ultimately is a nation historically tied to the re-emerging Grecian Empire of Alexander the Great. What ever the outcome of the current war, Turkey will eventually unite with Syria and Iraq, no doubt through military conquest, as ISIS is probably already setting up rebel bases in Turkey, right under Erdogan’s twice twisted nose.

Iraq is in fact end-time idolatrous Babylon, the seat of rule for the coming anti-Christ, a Syrian who may well be fighting with ISIS right now. As this blogger has written before, only the (hopefully praying) Christian church in Greece stands in the way of this final union. As Daniel in Bible inspired writing foretells:

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia [Iran and Iraq].  And the rough goat is the king of Grecia [Greece]: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king [Alexander]. Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation [Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Egypt], but not in his power. And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up (8: 20 – 23).” Time for prayer!

Persecution of Christians: ISIS ‘Muslim’ Unification at End of the Age

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 22:15 PM
August 11, 2014

War-on-Christians        Christians now suffer staggering persecution from ‘professing’ Muslims throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa and even Europe including: Denmark, Iraq, Iran, Indonesia, Kenya, Somalia, Pakistan, Syria, Egypt, Russia, Cameroon, Turkmenistan, Central African Republic, Nigeria, etc.

Most nations on that list, compiled by MidnightWatcher’s Blogspot’s post–– ‘They Are Slaughtering Us Like Chickens’: Muslim Persecution Of Christians”–– will undoubtedly either participate in anti-Christ’s End-Time assaults or will send soldiers to assist in battles––as is the case now with Muslims by the thousands deserting ‘comparatively moderate’ groups such as Al-Qaeda to join ISIS.

As promised in both Old and New Testament prophecies, of the Revived Nations in Alexander the Great’s Kingdom from which anti-Christ will come––Syria, Egypt, Greece and Turkey––only Greece withstands the Muslim push to extinguish Christianity. Those prophecies foresee that anti-Christ will stem from that Revived Kingdom, and that Syria will be the one from which he will spring.

Greece is at least 95% Christian, with vast majorities members of the Greek Orthodox Church.  While Muslims have mosques in other Greek cities, there is not one in Athens, the nation’s capital. Apparently fearful of Muslim protests, Greek officials plan to build a mosque at Greek expense in Athens met outcries. Citizens say that in entrenched recession with high unemployment, Greece cannot afford it.

Initially, fearful of citizen backlashes, individual contractors would not bid on construction. But soon a consortium of contractors submitted an accepted bid. Things seemed back on again. Finally last April a group of clergy, military, politicians, and businesses quashed the 946,000 euro project, perhaps for good.

While Egypt has long had its Coptic Christian Church, Muslims constantly increase pressure on Christians by destroying Churches, persecuting Christian families and businesses, and clashes with the nation’s military. Tom
Heneghan of Faith World reports:  “In Europe and North America, governments have denounced the violence and called on Egypt’s armed forces to guarantee equal rights for all citizens, especially religious minorities. Church groups have collected funds to send to Egyptian parishes.” Turkey is not much better!

The term ‘professing’ Muslims is used above because new dangers against the Body of Christ from the ISIS ultra-Christians-getting-attackedextremist Muslim group moves far beyond other persecutions against Christians in the Middle East.  Not only the most violent group on the 21st century horizon, ISIS has become a murderous unifying force among all nations in the Middle East––not just in Syria and Iraq!

Greg Miller of the Washington Post writes this week: “U.S. spy agencies have begun to see groups of fighters abandoning al-Qaeda affiliates in Yemen and Africa to join the rival Islamist organization that has seized territory in Iraq and Syria.”  This move is one reason for the start of U.S. air strikes in the region.

U.S. officials tell Miller:  “Small groups from a number of al-
Qaeda affiliates have defected to ISIS.  And this problem will probably become more acute as ISIS continues to rack up victories.”

ISIS moves beyond ‘simple’ persecution. It crucifies Christians, steals their assets and pushes them out regions under threat of execution. Bible inspired writing identifies the anti-Christ a non-Muslim: “But in his estate shall he honor the god of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not . . . (Daniel 11: 38).” As anti-Christ comes out of Syria and will rule from Iraq, ISIS may soon reveal him.

How World Wars Start: Russia’s Ukraine ‘Game’ Kills 298 Innocents

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 12:01 PM
July 18, 2014

Malaysia-Flight-17-shot-down    War begets war.  This is what happens when careless politicians hell-bent on smoldering a minor skirmish turn over advanced sophisticated military equipment to unprofessional, untrained gang-like rebels. Thus, yesterday, rebels or Russians, in ‘East Ukraine’ shot down Malaysia Flight 17 blasting 298 people out of the sky.

At least 100 of the passengers––dedicated to saving lives, not ending them–– were on their way to an AIDS conference in Australia. The Los Angeles Times lists nationalities of passengers as:  Netherlands, 154; Malaysia, 43 (including 15 crew members and two infants); Australia, 27; Indonesia, 12 (including one infant).

Michael B. Kelley of Reuters News Service writes: “An adviser to the Ukraine Interior Minister said pro-Russia separatists shot down the passenger plane with a Russian-made Buk ground-to-air missile system. And residents in the area—a stronghold of pro-Russian rebels who are fighting the Ukrainian army—said one of those systems was nearby.”

The Kyiv Post translated a transcript between two pro-Russian militants in what they claim is their self-proclaimed ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’:  “It’s 100% a passenger aircraft, . . . Absolutely nothing. Civilian items, medicinal stuff, towels, toilet paper. . . It fell in the area of Grabovo, there is a sea of corpses of women and children. Now the Cossacks are looking at all this. . .

“They’re broadcasting on TV that this is apparently an AN-26, a Ukrainian, a transport plane, but “Malaysian map-Malaysia-Airlines-crashAirlines” is written on it. What was it doing on the territory of Ukraine? . . . That means they were bringing in spies, I don’t know. You see. . . What the *** were they flying in here for, there’s a war on.”

No.  This wasn’t a war. It was a few scatter-brained immature miscreants insisting on following rules of their own, rather than obeying Ukraine’s leaders––with help and advanced missiles from Russia––who now make it a major war!

As Brett LoGiurato of Business Insider writes:  “Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer said the incident has the potential to significantly destabilize the situation. . . More countries could get involved . . . There could be a new push by the Ukrainian government to get military support from the U.S., which has so far resisted, as well as more nonmilitary aid from the European Union.”

Does everyone know that World War I started because one man, demanding that his country be freed from Australia, killed another:  “Gavrilo Princip, an ethnic Serb and Yugoslav nationalist, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria”? As Wikipedia writes:  “The assassination led directly to the First World War.”

Moreover, does everyone know that Hitler started WW2 because he was angry that Germany lost WW1? So ultimately Princip started two world wars. And, most important, Russia was heavily involved in the precipitation of both wars.

Now rebels in East Ukraine, inspired by Russia, may have started WW3. And this time, the war will not be among nations only, but among non-attached rebel groups who feel no obligation to follow international rules of war––such as ISIS in Syria-Iraq, or Boko Haram in Nigeria, or criminal gangs in Latin America!

This is why Christians must pray from Bible inspired writing in two ways:  1) LORD please give us one more revival, one more massive outpouring of Your Holy Spirit, Who Alone can quell these flames of war (Hosea 6: 2); 2) “He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:20),” and take Your children out of this world-wide mess!

History, Oil, and Absence: What’s Really Behind Iraq’s Defeats

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 9:00 AM
June 17, 2014

European-Controlled-TerritoriesSome knowledge of history and economics is necessary to understand what is happening in Iraqi today. First, European nations––particularly France and Britain––without regard to tribal, cultural, and religious identifies of groups, divided and formed those areas seen as nations today.

‘Modern Period: The Rise of Colonial Interests in the Middle East’ by ocw.nd.edu/arabic-and-middle-east-studies explains: “The notorious Sykes-Picot Treaty which was concluded between Britain and France in 1916 . . . designated France the protector of Arab Syria and Kurdish Mosul province, while Britain was designated the protector of Baghdad and Basra provinces.”

Before that time, Muslims did not see themselves as citizens in nations. ocw.nd continues: “Before the period of colonialism, there was no concept of a territorial state in the Muslim world. Muslims were conscious of ethnic, linguistic, and regional differences among themselves, but they saw themselves as politically united first under the Iraq-soldierscaliphate and then the later empires and sultanates.

“In a number of cases, some of these nation-states were created in an ad hoc and arbitrary manner to serve the interests of the colonizers: For example, British interests in Persian Gulf oil led to the creation of Kuwait.”

Second, up until this century, oil interests played decisive roles on who should rule these countries. Cambridge Archive Editions says gives background: “Between 1913 and 1923 the Rulers of the various sheikhdoms and states under signed undertakings not to grant oil concessions except to companies appointed by the British Government: the Ruler of Kuwait´s signature was obtained in 1913; the Ruler of Bahrain´s in 1914; the Ruler of Qatar´s in 1916; the Rulers of the Trucial Coast states´ in 1922 and the Sultan of Muscat and Oman´s in 1923.”

However, today such oil oversight is no longer necessary. For instance, as Forbes magazine points out, the United States is close to producing enough oil for itself that will last the rest of this century.  Also if the U.S. did need oil, it can purchase some from Canada or Venezuela––both of which have huge oil reserves.
Third, several things remain absent in current discussions about Iraq’s problems:  1) Part of what is happening in Iraq today results from the Arab Spring movement in recent years. These people want to rule themselves, whether they are divided by religion or any other way.  And the West cannot do it for them.

Where are France and Britain, and the rest of Western Europe, in these discussions? Why do all these nations––including Iraq which refused our help at the end of the war––expect the United States to be the ones to bail them out?

If these were the end of salient issues, logical discussions could ensue. But it is not the end, because ISIS and other Al Qaeda networks ultimately want to rule all the Arab states, Western Europe and the United States as well. These militant moves in Iraq, Syria, Ukraine and Africa are simply small steps towards WWIII.

What’s to be done then?  Christians must watch and pray. As Bible inspired writing insists:  “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man (Luke 21: 36).”

Bring A Knife To A Gun Fight? Is U.S./West Ready for Russia’s Thugs?

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 10:15 AM
April 28, 2014

Pro-Russian activists take control of TRK Donbass television station in Donetsk, Ukraine   While the United States, some Western nations, and perhaps China, depend on far more advanced weaponry in the 21st century––i.e. drones, satellites, stealth air strikes, etc.–– Russia moves into Ukraine using thugs in masks with guns and tanks. How old World War II gosh! So who bears the knife in this gun fight?

The U.S. depends upon ‘economic logic’ to stop Putin, but the Russian President doesn’t seem to listen. Today, his thugs ratcheted their own pressure by seizing a television station, as the U.S. moves to lodge more sanctions against Putin’s friends.  According to thehill.com, “The penalties will hit seven Russian government officials, including two members of Putin’s ‘inner circle’ . . .

“All 17 companies are owned or controlled by Putin allies.  At least eight of the companies have ties to Gennady Timchenko, a Russian billionaire living in Switzerland with ties to Putin,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney.

The Hill adds that the Department of Commerce will impose restrictions on 13 of the companies to prevent their export of U.S. manufacturing.  The State Department is also denying the export of license applications for any high-technology items that could contribute to Russia’s military capabilities.

Other members of the G-7 have not announced their sanctions, but they are expected to be lighter than the U.S.’ Ida Wells of earthend-newbeginning.com blogs that European businesses join Russia in stopping sanctions from Europe.

While Putin had his foreign minister negotiate with the U.S. on withdrawal, he pours masked men with more of his ‘primitive weapons’ into Ukraine, and lines its borders with thousands more troops. Western Europe moans to him: “We are at peace, We are prosperous (compared to you). No one wants or has time for war?”

“But we don’t fight wars like this any more,” the U.S. cries. “You don’t but I do,” Putin responds.  “Because even in RulesforaGunfightthe 21st century, thug war still works. While you tried to entice me with ‘partnerships,’ I planned this against you while smiling in your face all the time.” So who has the knife and who has the gun?

But this pseudo-war isn’t over yet. Putin may be winning the battle in Ukraine, but he may be losing it at home. In ‘Russian Markets Take Fright on Putin Threat to Ukraine,’ Lidia Kelly and Oksana Kobzeva of Reuters write:

“Russian stocks and bonds plummeted on Monday and the central bank hiked interest rates, burning its way through as much as $12 billion of its reserves to prop up the ruble. Investors were ditching all Russian assets alike.

“The market capitalization of the Russian ruble-dominated MICEX stock index fell some $60 billion since Friday, more than the $51 billion Russia spent on the Winter Olympics in Sochi last month.” So Putin lost money on the Olympics too? My my, does Putin’s Russia really have that much money to lose?

The LORD Jesus Christ, known to be the wisest man alive, raises an interesting question in Luke 14: 31-32 of Bible inspired writing:  “Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.”

To paraphrase it in modern parlance for this particular type of war, when picking a fight with an unknowable enemy, one should ascertain who has the knife and who has the gun, and which weapon is correct for winning all resulting wars?

Ukraine: Easter’s True Meaning Eludes ‘Crucifying’ Deceivers

262756-an-orthodox-priest-blesses-easter-eggs-after-a-religious-service-in-ru    It is difficult to celebrate Easter in these times when man’s rule over earth is coming to an end. By their gesture to lay down their arms during this Easter Week, Ukrainian leaders show the Spirit of Christ’s Resurrection. But while Russia’s Orthodox priest ‘bless’ pro-Russian rebels in Ukraine, President Putin continues offering the world evil schemes of deception and lies.

About Russia’s signed agreement with the U.S. to disarm militants occupying eastern Ukraine, theguardian.com writes: “The Ukrainian government pledged on Saturday not to attack separatists in the eastern part of the country over Easter as the Russian government justified the buildup of its forces at the border.

For example:  “The Ukrainian foreign ministry promised ‘the suspension of the active phase of the anti-terrorist operation’ among a list of government initiatives to defuse the crisis. . . In Moscow Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, said that an increase in troop levels near the border was caused by concern over instability in Ukraine.”

While masked pro-Russian forces in eastern Ukraine refuse to disarm and remove barricades, and 40,000 Russian troops stay on Ukraine’s borders “ . . . senior diplomats from Ukraine, Russia, the U.S. and the European Union issued a statement calling for an array of actions to defuse tension, including the disarming of militant groups Ukraine-Priest-Crossand the freeing of public buildings occupied by separatists.”

The term ‘pro-Russian’ means that Moscow is in complete charge of masked mafia henchmen (identified as such in Ida Wells’ recent earthend-newbeginning.
com posts) occupying government buildings in Ukraine, not some out-of-control militants. And Russian diplomats promising to disarm had Putin’s full approval.

The Russian President lies on all counts:  He had his diplomats lie about disarmament; He has the mafia chief of the rebels lie about being in charge; and he lies about wanting anything other than Ukraine’s complete surrender (as well as that of other ex-Soviet nations, if not all of Europe).

His trickery goes beyond the pale of ‘normal diplomacy.’  It is the mark of a malevolent despot intent on joining Syria’s start of World War III.  And it is shameful that Western Europe co-ops those lies for the sake of some heating oil!

What The LORD Jesus Christ went through before His death was betrayal, desertion, torture, sacrifice and excruciating pain.  These are exactly the factors which all on Mother Earth will continue to go through before His soon return.

As Bible inspired writing foretells:  “And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames (Isaiah 13: 8).”

With these present factors in mind, please celebrate the holiday with faith, knowledge and prayer.  But as some insist upon saying, “Have A Happy Easter.”
