Falling Darkness: Glorification of Evil, Sex Plots & Child Violence #2

Sex-Violence-Media    Every indication explodes over the airways that America is coming off the rails of good sense and common decency.  As spiritual darkness falls over the nation: guns, sexual violence, murder and death stand out continuously glorified.

Apparently these are the wishes of such groups as: the National Rifle Association (NRA), television and movie producers, and ‘do-nothing’ officials in Congress and the Federal Communications Commission, etc.  And, through television and film, the United States sells these visions of depravity to the world.

In their landmark study, “Sex, Violence and the Media,” H. J. Eysenck and D.K. Nias established decades ago that an average family’s increased television viewing––of over 40 hours a week (even then) with escalating scenes of violence, sex and pornography––has resulted in growing crime rates in Westrn countries, especially in sex crimes.

Todd Neale posits in ‘Pediatricians Fault Media Violence and Sex:’ “Violence and sex in music, movies, television and video games pose such a serious threat to children and teenagers that the nation’s chief organization of pediatricians wants doctors to do something about it.

“The evidence is now clear and convincing: media violence is one of the causal factors of real-life violence and aggression,” the American Academy of Pediatrics’ council on communications and the media concluded . . .”

Is it any wonder that major American institutions––such as the military, colleges and universities––are rife withDolce-Gabbana-holding-girl-down mishandled sexual assault charges?  Mishandled as men running such institutions downplay rape as a criminal act.

In the military, ‘all the kings horses and all the kings men’ indicate they just don’t know what to do about Humpty Dumpty’s ‘egg cracking’ as multiplying rates of sexual violence in their ranks spills over every year.  Yet, no general has been fired, and very, very few rapists have gone to jail for such crimes.

Tyler Kingkade acknowledges in ‘Occidental College Sexual Assault Response Subject Of Federal Complaints,’ that women at that school have struggled for six years to have campus officials view rape a serious crime.  Occidental even allowed rapists back on campus claiming they had ‘reformed.’

As visions of sexual violence flood this nation’s media,  it is clear that only an act of God can turn such gruesome imaginations to face everlasting realities:  Satan, the ultimate essence of evil is the force behind this darkness.  He wants to destroy this nation, and take as many as possible to hell with him.

Lines in Alan Nourse books imply: “Look out!  The crazies are loosened upon us!” But this is not fiction, these imagined lies ring out as truth within the darkness.  But take rest that The LORD Jesus Christ is coming back soon.  So each person will either reign with Him as Savior, or be ruled over by Him as LORD.

Falling Darkness: Glorification of Evil, Child Violence in Last Days

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 23:34 PM

A-country-underr=siege        Floods of darkness now fall over American society.  Consider the programs on television featuring police chasing violent murderers, or increasing paranormal depictions of monsters, other evil beings, and realms of death.  Also appraise the increasing number of “accidental” gun murders carried out by children.

As David Bauder writes in ‘TV Violence Still Prevalent, According To New PTC Study:’ “Violence, gore and gunplay were staples on prime-time television even in the most sensitive period directly following the Newtown school shooting.

“A study of 392 prime-time scripted programs on broadcast networks shown during the month following Vice President Joe Biden’s January meeting with entertainment industry executives on the topic revealed that 193 had some incident of violence, according to the Parents Television Council. Some are cartoonish––quite literally, with Homer strangling Bart for mouthing off on ‘The Simpsons’––but there is plenty of gunplay, stabbings and beat-downs.”

AMC producers defend the program, ‘The WalkingDead,’ which is popular among young voters.  And when justifying the violent gore in ‘The Following,‘Fox entertainment chief, Kevin Reilly, says nightmarish scenes are part of the entertainment menu  broadcasters must provide viewers. Who made that ‘rule’?

The American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry avers hundreds of studies show that TV violence affects children and teens as they may:  1) “Become immune or numb to the horror ov violence; 2) Gradually accept violence as a way to solve problems; 3) Imitate the violence they observe on television; 4) Identify with certain characters, victims and/or victimizers.”

Maybe this explains why in the last few years, the U.S. has witnessed scores of murders by children who found guns children-gun-accidents‘carelessly’ left available by adults.  Just this month in Arizona a father visited a friend with his four-year old son.  That friend somehow left a gun available, and the boy picked it up and killed his father.
Perhaps the child had seen enough TV to know how to shoot a gun.  The stories are endless.  In May a three-year-old in Florida shot himself with a gun found in the bedroom he shared with his uncle, etc.

These are indicators of gross spiritual darkness over this nation. The forces of sex, semi-nudity, and crazed ‘always adolescent’adults seen on TV and movie screens, as well as the growing prevalence of legalized casino gambling are others.

This nation reflects its part in deceptions in these last days.  As Isaiah 60 says in historical books of the Old Testament: “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but The LORD shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee (verse 2).”

Part of that verse prophecies the state of nations on earth today:  rebellion, revolutions, wars, sexual deviance and degredation. The second part is for those faithful few who believe so strongly in God and His Word that they walk in His Light and in the blood of His Son.  The question is how many of those are left?

Worlds Fall Apart: Syria, Turkey, Brazil & Gasp! No Olympics? Pt. 2

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 14:14 PM
June 21, 2013

The-Brazilian-Revolution-2013        Multi-nation wars in the Middle East bespeak the unraveling of any peace agreements, as upheavals in Brazil threaten the collapse of ‘usual’ world expectations.  No one mentions it, but that nation may cancel both the World Cup and the Olympics! Does it all mean civilization as we know it is over?  Yes!

People in Brazil and Turkey, for two, can’t take any more of sly governments pushing them into poverty with grandiose ideas of moving up in world esteem.  Turkey threatens to use its armies against its people, while Brazil’s police crack down so heavily on protesters, you would think that force is an army.

What is this all about?  To paraphrase a line from Star Trek:  “The needs of the many out-weigh the wants of a few.”  Or, how about ‘governments have left the citizens they are suppose to be governing’?

And the U.S.?  I.B. Wells writes in our sister cite that 87% of economists predict this nation’s Stock Market will crash next week.  Do you mean the money boys can’t live it up forever, while Main Street, and its alleyways, collapse further into poverty and neglect, as ‘liberal’ politicians vote to cut food stamps.

Think I’m wrong?  Read Jenny Barchfield’s Associated Press article ‘Brazil Leaders to Meet as Protests, Violence Grow:’  “Police and protesters fought in the streets into the early hours Friday as an estimated 1 million Brazilians swarmed through more than 80 Brazilian cities in the biggest demonstrations yet against a government viewed as corrupt at all levels and unresponsive to its people.”

A million people is a huge number to ignore!  “People in the protests have held up signs asking for everything from Brazil-people-protestingeducation reforms to free bus fares while denouncing the billions of public dollars spent on stadiums in advance of the World Cup and the Olympics.”  One girl cries out:  “We pay a lot of money in taxes, for electricity, for services, and we want to know where that money is.”

And I guarantee you those leaders meeting in Brazil are more concerned with rantings from World Cup and Olympic organizer––“You guys better keep it together please!  We’ve got games to play there!”––than about those protesters.

That’s the problem: ‘games’!  World leaders seem to be asleep at the WWIII switch.  Or are they fiddling like Nero while their nations burn?  The crescendo’s about to upchuck on the sports parades, because the whole game is almost over.

As Apostle Peter wrote in historical Bible books: “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer (1 Peter 4: 7).” Anybody truly praying yet in Brazil, in Syria, in Turkey, in the United States?

Worlds Falling Apart: Syria, Turkey: Now Brazil & Others Waiting

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 18:18 PM
June 18, 2013

things-fall-apart2    “Things fall apart, the center cannot hold . . . “ or so the poet wrote last century.  But how could he have known that literally earth, civilization, nations would collapse before our eyes, while those in power are helpless to stop it.

The Extinction Protocol (EP) reasons this new chaos comes because people feel it in Global Warming, they sense it as economies around them fall, and they witness weakness and failure in the powers they trusted:

“Planetary meltdown: Stressed by the physical changes sweeping the planet, civilizations and governments, already burdened by deception, debt, inequality, and corruption could begin to crumble one by one. Change has come to planet Earth.”

EP and the poet seem to agree.  Its seems unbelievable, but while the people of Brazil should be celebrating over having both the World Cup and Olympics coming to their cities very soon, instead they are rioting in the streets.

National Public Radio, CNN and The New York Times all report that last night 100,000 protesters flooded the streets of Rio de Janeiro; and another 65,000 gathered in Sao Paulo.  Like too many people in various nations around the world, brazil-protests-belemBrazilians feel their government pays attention to everything but them.

Just as Turkey’s protest started over a small park in the middle of the city, this one started over a nine cents raise in bus fares.  But both now explode in mammoth citizen revolts.

NPR reporter, Lourdes Garcia-Navarro, says:  “The cost of living here is extremely high, there’s a massive rate of inflation, and so people say that they are fed up, that they want their government to do something for them.

“One of the big issues is that Brazil has been gearing up for the World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016. Lourdes says people feel as though the government has been focusing on those big, international events while allowing them to languish.”

Certainly that sounds familiar.  Thomas Friedman writes in The New York Times that Egypt’s citizens are not far from overflowing onto Cairo streets as well:  “This is Egypt in miniature—so many problems built up over so many years that are all about to spill onto the street.

“As if things weren’t bad enough, who should show up to add to Egypt’s stresses but Mother Nature herself. Climate, water, food and population pressures are now interweaving with the political and economic ones in ways that would challenge even the best of leaders, and Egypt today has far from the best. In the last month, Cairo has seen temperatures as high as 113 degrees Fahrenheit, 20 degrees above the daily average high.”

Hmm. Back to Global Warming again.  EP was right.  But as Christian non-fiction prophecy books warned 2,000 years ago, things will continue to fall apart as Satan’s chaos falls upon earth in these last days.  And only The Return of God’s Son can stop it:  “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon Him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war (Revelation 19: 11).”

Crossing the Rubicon: Smuggling Out of North Korea and Back

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 20:55 PM
June 15, 2013

Save-starving-North-Koreans        Ahh, failures of Communism:  1)  Generations behind the modern world, the Cuban people have no way of escape; 2) Russia fakes democratic elections to the same dictator keeps power; 3) China breeds unimaginable crime in every area of life from food production to internet hacking, and maintains the largest killer army in the world; and 4) In North Korea, everyone just wants to get out!

Even in North Korea’s police state, its borders are not as sealed as its rulers claim. Not only are thriving drug and other contraband business crossing them, other smugglers cross those borders from other countries to get North Koreans out.

Although they risk five years in prison or death if caught, some 3,000 North Koreans make it to the South every year.  In ‘Shadowy World of Korea’s People Smugglers,’ Lucy Williamson, of BBC News,  tells the story of South Korean Mrs. Kwon who runs a business getting people out of North Korea:

“She charges thousands of dollars to send people on one of the most dangerous journeys in the world.” Other brokers cost $ 5,500 for the total trip from North Korea to China, then to South Korea.  Chon Gi-wan,  South Korean pastor of Durihana Church in Seoul, also helps North Koreans cross over the border into China, and eventually into South Korea.  Most of them then attend his church.

Ann Shin writes in ‘Escape From North Korea:’ “I profile a smuggler named Dragon, who charges North Korean defectors for guiding them through China and Southeast Asia into eventual asylum and safety in South Korea.”

Yet she says: “Tens of thousands of North Korean defectors live secretly in China and Southeast Asia. They fear running-from-North-Koreadeportation back to their country—concerns reinforced last month when nine young North Koreans, from ages 15 to 23, were turned back by Laos, then repatriated to North Korea by China.”

Justin McCurry of, writes in ‘UN Extremely Concerned For Repatriated North Korean Defectors’ that such repatriation is against against international law:  “The body has asked North Korea to grant independent observers access to the defectors and to guarantee they will not face retribution.”

Christians who live in the United States, should pray, and otherwise support, for pastors like Chon Gi-wan, and the escaped North Koreans in their churches.

His story should encourage pastors here to do more to gather the ‘lost’ into their folds.  As Bible inspired writing assures:  “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, . . . (2 Corinthians 5: 10).”  Hmmm. Wonder who gets greater reward, pastors who risk life and money to free people from godless Communism, or pastors who don’t sacrifice very much to reach the lost for The LORD Jesus Christ.

Redefining Islam and Old World Empires Toward the Latter End

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 0:15 AM
June 12, 2013

Turkey-2        Few people understand that there are three, not just two, sects within the Muslim religion:  Sunni, Shiite and Alawite. The latter is the smallest Muslim group in the world by far.  Surviving persecution for centuries, Alawites rule Syria.

While the Alawite sect is least well-known Muslim group, its members comprise Syria’s military leadership.  The family of President Bashar al-Assad, which has ruled Syria for 40 years, has been Alawite for generations.

As Primoz Manfreda of explains:  “Alawites are a Muslim minority group that accounts for around 12% of Syria’s population, with a few small pockets in Lebanon and Turkey.

“Around 70% of Syrians belongs to Sunni Islam, as does almost 90% of all Muslims in the world.” More liberal than their counterparts, Alawites permit alcohol, celebrate Christmas and Zoroastrian New Year.  They worship Imam Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of Muhammad, believing in his divine reincarnation.

BBC News explains:  “Alawites are seen by other Muslims in the Middle East as very liberal or even secular. In Syria women are not encouraged to wear hejab and many choose not to fast or pray.”  Thus more ‘orthodox’ Muslims consider the Alawites to be a heretic sect.

In his New York Times article, ‘Syrian Unrest Stirs New Fear of Deeper Sectarian Divide,’ Anthony Shadid explains the war in Syria “. . . is sharpening sectarian tensions along one of the country’s most explosive fault lines: relations CONTENT_ARTICLE_IMAGEbetween the Sunni Muslim majority and the minority Alawite sect.”

This same struggle between liberal-minded Muslims and more orthodox Islamists is also being played out in Turkey, where protesters take to the streets to defy Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who they claim wants to impose strict Muslim law, eradicating their secular form of government and culture.

As AFP News Service reports in ‘Striking Workers Join Turkey Protest,” “But opponents accuse him [Erdogan] of . . . pushing conservative Islamic policies such as religious education reforms and a law curbing the sale of alcohol.”

While 99% of Turkey is Muslim––80% Sunni and 20% Shia––Turkey is still considered a secular country.  But protesters believe Erdogan is changing that culture.  According to William J. Dobson’s piece, ‘Istanbully’ for, the Prime Minister “ . . . tells women they should bear at least three children,” and his government bans even advertisements for alcohol.

Both countries mirror other current Middle East wars over culture, religion, and what brand of Islam populations ‘must’ follow.  As historical Bible books attest, unrest within this region of the world will continue until the whole is brought under one dictatorial ruler, the antiChrist.

Then, in the middle of his seven year reign, the anti-Christ will discard all other forms of religion––including Islam––and declare himself to be the god who alone must be worshipped: “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, . . nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all (Daniel 11: 37).”

Turkey: People Don’t Want Muslim Rule But Prime Minister Does

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 1:45 AM
June 8, 2013

Turkish-demonstrations       It all started over the Turkish Prime Minister’s attempt to destroy the last park in the center of Istanbul so he could continue with his idea of a more modern city, but it has mushroomed into waves of protesters who claim he is a dictator.

But instead of trying to understand or communicate with those protesters, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan insists the anti-government protesters are part of foreign “terrorist organizations.”  And he still plans to redevelop that park!

In response, thousands of angry demonstrators call for him to resign. AFP News reports that “teachers, doctors, bank staff and others marched in a sea of red and yellow labour union flags in the capital Ankara and in Istanbul, where they converged on Taksim Square, the centre of nearly a week of violent clashes.”

Conflict between the two sides have hardened due to police tactics. Several people have died and more than 1,700 have been arrested.  Thus, protest leaders urge the government to fire police chiefs in Istanbul and Ankara where tear gas and other excessive force are used against Turkish citizens.

Now the United Nations, the United States and Turkey’s Western partners in NATO want it stopped.  They didn’t expect this from Turkey, which may have a Muslim population, but a constitutionally secular government.  And the U.S. counts on Turkey’s support in opposing the president of Syria in that civil war.

Up until now Erdogan has been a crafty politician. His Justice and Development Party (AKP) came to power in 2002 and has since won three elections in a row.  That is quite a record in usually erratic Turkish politics.

But now, AFP News argues, Erdogan’s opponents see him as “repressing critics and of pushing conservative Islamic policies such as religious education reforms and a law curbing the sale of alcohol.” quotes Turkish newspaper columnist Mustafa Akyol wrote: the Prime Minister  “ . . . has the feeling Turkey-Prime-Ministerthat he can do whatever he wants . . .  Erdogan is a democratic, legitimate leader. He’s actually the most popular prime minister Turkey has seen in half a century, but his understanding of democracy has to become more participatory and more liberal.

“He has to understand that democratically elected leaders also have limits that they should not cross, and they should also try to win the other people, the other half of Turkish society as we call it, rather than intimidating them and making them more nervous.”

But Turkey’s citizens and allies should expect a long struggle, as Erdogan is marching to the tune of Armageddon’s drummer.  Through repression, he will clamp down on this civil war, and then proceed to work on reunifying Alexander, the Great’s empire––which will consist of Turkey, Greece, Syria and Egypt.

From that revived group will come the anti-Christ who will rule over parts of three continents as he prepares to battle against The LORD Jesus Christ and His troops. Only God’s Word, not anti-Christian nonfiction, reveals the true future.

Armageddon Near: Middle East Moving Toward International War

posted by Dr. Jael Ever @ 17:14 PM
June 4, 2013

Syrian+War3    So you believe that havoc in the Middle East does not mean the end of all things is at hand?  Let’s see.  Syria––home of the soon-to-come anti-Christ––is in a frantically hot civil war.  Russia and Iran supply arms to Syria.

The U.S. and Europe supply ‘non-military’ aid to Syrian rebels.  And Israel just leveled missiles into Damascus, Syria. Iraq is falling apart. Those American lives spent to ‘free’ that nation has paid off––for China––which gets its oil there.

Shall I go on?  Hmmm.  Well Turkey’s cities are in the seventh day of riots.  The head of Saudi Arabia is in a comatose state, and the ethnic identity of his successor is questionable.  And one of many bottom lines is that this is all about Shia against Sunni Muslims.  And other wide Muslim splits.

Dr. Hal Lindsey explains that Israel sent airstrike hits to Syria “to keep missiles and chemical weapons out of the hands of two groups: Hezbollah, who is fighting on the side of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and al-Qaeda, who is leading the fight against him.”  You do know Hezbollah is Israel’s hated neighbor? israel-hezbollah-flags-300x225

In his weekly newsletter, Rev. Lindsey continues that Israel’s strike actually helps Syria because it can unite Israel’s enemies: “How can he [Syria’s President Assad] make that happen? Simple, provoke Israel into entering the war currently being waged in Syria between his government and the opposition rebels.”  Of course, Bible prophecy says Assad must fall, because Satan’s evil ‘messiah’ will eventually take his place, and then all hell literally breaks out.  As Lindsey posits:

“Though the Muslim sects––Sunni, Shia, and Alawite––hate each other, they hate Israel even more. If Israel entered the war, then Assad reckons that most of the Arab and Muslim nations will rally to his side and he can hang on to power.”

Of course some in the U.S. body politic want the U.S. to jump into Syria’s war with both feet.  But which side would our nation be on?  Should we be in league with our multi-decades enemy al-Qaeda?

Is it confusing you.  Well to understand the role that each if these nations will have in this ‘end-of-time’ war, establish one fact in your mind: all of these Middle East nations are identified in God’s Bible inspired writing.

These and other Middle Eastern nations, along with historical alignments in southern Europe (the Greek and Roman Empires––now being revived and revised) and northern Africa (i.e. Egypt) have been Israel’s various enemies since God formed Abraham’s chosen twelve-tribe nation.

Especially check out their unrelenting assaults against Israel (and perhaps against her one true friend, the United States) foretold in the Book of Revelation. And look out for those five horses in chapter six.  These otherworldly spiritual monsters solicit overwhelming wars, famines, pandemic diseases and billions of deaths.  Oops.  Looks like we’re almost to that point now!
