The Plumed Serpent is a Shocking Rendition of Aztec Religion

the plumed serpentThis summer, I have been trying to read some anti-Christian fiction just so that I can get some idea of the belief systems of those living in very different situations from me. It is startling and interesting to get a look into different types of belief systems as a whole. Even though I find this type of literature somewhat concerning, I feel that it is good to be aware of it.

Most recently, I ended up reading The Plumed Serpent which is a book about an Aztec religious cult that is trying to bring back the old religion beliefs. Overall it is interesting just because of the way that it explores other culture so thoroughly. It was definitely worrying to find the different information written into the fictional story that occurs.

I really feel that reading books like this helps me to see the world from multiple angles. Even if I don’t agree with all types of belief systems, I am able to see why people believe what they do and how this has changed them and effected them over time. This book especially took me into the exploration of a very strange world of differing belief on the whole.

More on The Lord Jesus’ Ultimate and Eternal Sacrifice

Understand this: without the Blood that The LORD Jesus Christ shed on the Cross, Christians would have no path to forgiveness. And without God’s forgiveness, there is no way to eternal life.  Look at these verses in wholesale Christian Bibles:

last-supper-2     “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26: 26 – 28).”

Also: “For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands,which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

“For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation (Hebrews 9: 19-28).”

In-depth teaching on the shed Blood of Jesus is vital in the United States and around the world, because several cults in the U.S. which claim to be Christian deny the power of the Holy Blood of Christ.

For instance in her religious instructional book, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” Mary Baker Eddy, founder of Christian Science, writes that the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross has no Science-Health-Key-To-The-Scripturesmore power than it did in His veins before He died.  Such a horrendous statement is unbelievable!

I have not read what the Mormon Church says about the precious blood of Christ, but as it has many other steps necessary before their concept of heaven can be reached, it obviously does not value the shed Blood of Jesus.

And undoubtedly as Jehovah Witnesses insist that The Lord Jesus was/is not God, but simply “a god,” they obviously cannot consider His Blood on the Cross as absolutely necessary to insure man’s forgiveness from God.

While claiming to be Christian, such cults put the burden upon men and women to do laborious work in order to obtain God’s forgiveness.

In contrast, The LORD Jesus teaches that unless true believers eat, ingest, revere His Blood and His flesh they cannot internalize His life of salvation:

“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

“For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever (John 6: 53 – 58).”

Further, Hebrews 13: 12 insists that The LORD’s Blood alone makes believers holy—there is no work we can do for Him to obtain holiness before Him and His Father. Our work is just to believe in Him and in His Word.

In fact, Colossians 1: 20 collapses everything in earth and in heaven as only reconciled by and through The Holy Blood of Jesus:

“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”

So be sure to prayerfully take communion often—either with others or by yourself—and thank Your Heavenly Father that, with His Blood, Jesus paid for your success on earth and your pathway to heaven for all eternity!

The Crucial Meaning of “The Blood”

posted by admin @ 11:40 AM
June 13, 2016

During a recent radio-internet broadcast of our program “Home for Today and Tomorrow,” the technician handed my co-host a modern Bible translation, because he assumed it would be easier for her to read than the centuries-old King James Version of God’s Holy Word.

I invited them to compare the two translations of Joel 3: 21. Joel-3-21
That verse in the New International Version (NIV) reads:

“Shall I leave their innocent blood unavenged?
No, I will not.” The LORD dwells in Zion!”
But in the King James Version it reads:
“For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.”

These appear to be two completely different translations. The NIV version speaks of vengeance, while the KJB translation promises God’s healing of a sick person’s blood system. And there is no sickness or disease that cannot be healed with new, pure, cleansed blood.

The oldest daughter of famed Bible scholar Finis Dake told me several years ago that her father pointed out that several of these new Bible translations—that is other than the King James Version–either alter or eliminate the meaning of “the blood” in both the Old and New Testaments.  In other words, they slight the believer’s most important weapon—The Shed Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ!

The Blood that Jesus shed on the Cross and which still circulates around earth and heaven today is crucial for healing and victory in every area of the Christian’s life. Revelation 12: 11 reads:

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
It is through the precious blood of Jesus that believers overcome all the works of that wicked master foe Satan. Look at the verse before 12: 11 in wholesale Christian Bibles:

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night (Revelation 12: 10).”

It is the devil—that accuser—who whispers in the ear of those trying to believe God for their healing that it cannot happen because they have been horrible people.

It is that accursed fallen angel, the devil, who tries to convince believers that they cannot prosper because of some supposed past sin or other reason he contrives.

In advising believers on how to take communion—either in church, in family meetings, or alone in one’s Corinthians 11-23-25closet—Apostle Paul explains in 1 Corinthians 11: 23 – 25: “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread:

“And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me.

“After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in My blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

That term “the new testament” means “the new covenant” or “the new set of promises” given from God The Father and The Son to every born-again Christian believer.
In Apostle Paul’s instructions in these 1 Corinthians verses, he stresses that believers must confess—to themselves (or go to others asking forgiveness) BEFORE taking that communion.

After that, decide who you are going to believe—The Precious LORD Jesus Who gives us His new set of promises, the ”evidence” that may be in the natural realm, or [again] the New Set of Promises from Your Savior, The LORD Jesus Christ!  With choosing to believe Him over everything and everybody else, comes every believer’s VICTORY!

First World War Angels Of The Lord May Have Been Real

angel wings whiteThere are many people that believe that angels intervened in the first world war. I am not sure whether this was true or not, but I am always intrigued to hear different stories about it. I have always wanted to believe in angels, and some people have such vivid stories about them that it seems like they certainly must exist.

The Bible talks about angels being able to intervene in wars on occasion. There were many religious people who fought in the first world war, so it may actually be true that there were angels involved since God surely would have heard all of the prayers. I have always been very fascinated by tales of angels and they are always very encouraging.

Miracles do happen on occasion and you hear stories about them all the time. I like to think that there are angels watching over me and helping me out on a daily basis. The first world war angels of the lord may actually have been there and I am excited to find out more about this interesting topic. I like to read newspaper clippings about it and to read about what the people who saw the angels said. I love sharing my perspectives with others as well.
