Compelled to Teach Reality and Nearness of Hell!

There is something I must confess: I am a Watchman—no I am not a member of any off-shoot semi-Christian organization. In God’s Word, that term means a person to whom God assigns certain duties. When one becomes a Christian, he or she not only becomes a son or daughter of God, that person also becomes a servant for God. Too many Christians today just want to be God’s children believing that as youngsters they can still “sneak” off and do what they want to do, even if it against His will and His Word. These ‘baby’ Christians would never want to be called servants, or worse to them, even less so “watchmen.”

In the Book of Revelation, Apostle John writes that God gave the Revelation to The LORD Jesus Christ so that He could show His servants “things which must shortly come to pass.” The LORD Jesus gave God’s message to His angel who in turn gave The Revelation “unto His servant John.” Known as Saint John, The Divine, Apostle John wrote five books of the New Testament, which is the number of books, exceeded only by those Apostle Paul wrote. Yet in The Revelation alone, John calls himself God’s servant some 14 times.

A watchman is a servant, one who is given certain areas to watch over and/or to warn people who may be straying from the path God ordained for them. For instance consider what God told His prophet Ezekiel: “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.”

Several weeks ago, Our Father gave me an assignment to write in blogs and books about three things: Heaven, Hell and Earth. His orders came for several reasons: 1) Because some claiming to be Christians mistakenly assume they are going to Heaven, but if they don’t soon repent, they are going to Hell; 2) Because too many people—both saved and unsaved—do not know very much about Hell; and 3) Because in the next few years such horrific things—i.e. more and worse wars, earthquakes, floods, fires, diseases, etc.–will increasingly happen on Earth as the end of time on this planet—as we know it—is absolutely almost over.

Note that God told Ezekiel that if the prophet did not warn the wicked, that prophet would lose his own soul. Sorry folks, as much as my ‘natural self’ finds it unpleasant to write about such unpleasantness as Hell all the time, that ‘natural self’ must be crucified. It is not worth my going to that wretched dark and fire-filled place because I refuse to obey what God has commanded me to do. Yes, I am His child, and I have been so for over 50 years, but age is no excuse for not obeying His will. In fact, the more that one knows, the more obedience is required of that Christian. Note that the great prophet Ezekiel is warned that he either does what God commands or he too can slip into hell!

But you wish to reply the Bible says “God is Love,” surely He will not send His own beloved children to that endlessly horrible place. Look! We are living in the End Times! With some seven or eight billion people on earth who have never heard the Gospel or accepted Christ as Savior, Our Father must press those few of His children who still listen to Him into service. Another verse comes to mind: “For many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22: 14).” It could easily be translated: “For many are called, but few obey.” Apostle Peter stresses, “Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.” Once saved but unrepentant people–kings (i.e. Solomon), prophets (i.e. Jonah), apostles and preachers, (i.e. Judas and Demas)–are in Hell today because they refused to obey God’s Word and to follow His will.

And please don’t think you can avoid Hell’s judgment just because you go to church. Those unrepentant characters went to church as well. They simply thought they had the freedom and right to do and say what they wanted to say, and still avoid God’s judgment! Just going to church is not enough. Today, God needs Christian soldiers, servants and watchmen who He can depend upon to obey when He calls. He needs us to get closer to Him, and to be more willing than ever to serve Him in every way that we can.

Open your wholesale Christian Bible and consider one more verse: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Galatians 6: 7 – 8).” Hell is the constant painful corruption of the mind, spiritual body, and emotions, while Life Everlasting is living with and obeying God, His Son and His Holy Spirit while reaping and ‘owning’ untold enjoyment of worlds, planets, and all kinds of riches and blessings now and forever!
